Pre-alert on upcoming storm in Rotterdam

Dear Customers,

we herewith inform you that deep-sea terminals in Rotterdam have pro-actively advised on possible terminal shut down because of heavy weather as from 10:00hrs today.

So far there are strong winds ~ 62 km/h up to 74 km/h at sea shore. It´s estimated that the winds predicted, will hit the north shores with Bft9 ~ 75 km/h up to 88 km/h.
For the moment it´s not clear what effect the upcoming storm will have on our rail and barge arrivals-/departures for today and tomorrow and what backlog every terminal might face
if they will stop operations as from the next hour.

Please be aware that we are doing our utmost to minimize the impact on your cargo and ask for your understanding in this case is “force majeure”.

In case you have questions to specific containers / bookings please do not hesitate to contact our Customer Service directly.

We will keep you posted as soon we have more information available for you.

Sorry for any possible inconvenience caused by the weather situation.

Mit freundlichen Grüßen / With kind regards / Met vriendelijke groeten,

Optimodal Nederland B.V.
